The children’s home is located in a beautiful location with the ocean just behind the orphanage and mountains in the front. The building is two stories tall and has 13 rooms upstairs and 8 rooms downstairs. The children’s home was fully remodeled in 2000 before it’s opening. It is as beautiful as a hotel on the inside. The children’s rooms are spacious and furnished with new beds, bedding and closets purchased in September 2000. Each room will hold 6 children. There are two rooms for infants and a room for toddlers even though none has come to the orphanage yet.
There are 15 children at the orphanage at this time, 7 boys and 8 girls. They range in age from 11 to 18 years old. These children came from the poorest area in the Liaoning Province. The orphanage would like to take in more orphaned children but it can't until it's monthly finances increase.

The staff is made up of loving qualified Chinese who want to be a blessing to the children. The children need a lot of love and the management makes sure each staff member shows love and compassion to each child. Joy Haynes, vice-president of China Harvest Ministries, manages the orphanage on a daily basis under the authority of the orphanage director, Mr. Wang Yong Sheng. It is against the law for foreigners to get a licsense for an orphanage in China so Rick and Joy work with and in cooperation the Chinese government.
The monthly budget for the orphanage is $2,500.00. This includes the daily care of the children, school fees, food, clothes, medical, building utilities, and the Chinese staff salaries.
